Hello All!!

So I finally started watching the super popular drama ‘Twenty-five Twenty-one’. From the start, I could feel that there was a lot of story in it but somehow throughout the drama, I didn’t feel as excited as I thought I would. But here are some of the scenes which definitely touched my heart.

Spoiler Alert!!

Scene 1

When Hee do and Yi-Jin were far away from each other, not knowing when they will meet again. But they still had trust in each other and kept on vouching and rooting for each other's success and happiness. The story goes back to the 90s when staying in touch was even harder due to the absence of the latest technology. Seeing them waiting for each other’s calls over the payphone was both unbelievable and inspiring at the same time.

Scene 2

This was the funniest scene. When Ji-Woong was not able to park his mom’s car in the correct spot and panicked as his mom would figure out that he had taken it for a drive. After multiple tries also when it didn’t work, then he and his friends tried it the harder way. Ji-Woong’s band members were passing by, so Hee-Do suggested that all of them should carry the car to the spot. The idea itself was funny, and seeing them actually do it was even funnier. But the victory dance after their silly achievement was adorable to watch.

Scene 3

This was the scene from the Madrid 2001 tournament, where Hee-Do and Yu-Rim faced each other. Before the match and during the match the girls played as opponents, they didn’t talk to each other for almost a year due to different circumstances. But this didn’t make them waver at any point. When they were fencing they were as serious as they could be and respected the game. But the moment the match ended with Hee-Do’s win, both of them ran and hugged each other, bawling their eyes out. It was the sweetest thing to watch, how much they had missed each other.

The blog doesn’t end here. I’ll also be talking about my other drama ‘Summer Strike’. The reason for starting it? I’m Si-Wan. That guy has a goofiness about him and his choices of characters and dramas are very unique. He’s not mainstream, and that’s why I like him. However, once I started watching, there were more reasons to continue watching. So here are a few scenes that I absolutely loved.

Spoiler Alert!!

Scene 1

When Yeo-rum finally had the last straw drawn and left her job and Seoul for good. During her work days, she was treated like a pushover, being asked to work like hell, and given no respect or recognition. Being overworked on weekdays she didn’t have the time to even meet her mom in the countryside. One fine day when her mom passed away, she finally realized what was the time she spent on work worth!! I felt very relatable to this situation, where we crave time but are not able to find any.

Scene 2

When Yeo-rum lost her money while being drunk during the night, well this scene was not my favorite but it brought out so many emotions within me. Mostly it was frustration and anger towards her, seeing how irresponsible she was behaving and making a fool out of herself and also not realizing how dangerous it could be. When she questioned Dae-Bum for not taking her back to her place and leaving her with the money just like that, I was even more surprised as to how can she question him when she was the irresponsible one here. I had seen and been in similar situations, and it’s very burdensome for the people taking care of you to every time deal with your tantrums, especially if you’re repeating such acts on a regular basis.

Scene 3

This was the last scene (extended) of the drama when Yeo-rum was narrating how she decided to stay at Angok and how she manages her life now. The girl came a long way from being treated like a pushover, to being able to take her own decisions. So towards the end when she mentioned her life in Angok was sufficient and she was content with it, it was a happy moment. Also, the part where she mentioned that her current part-time job was there for her monetary needs and she still spent the rest of the day enjoying her life as she wanted was like a dream to me. I so wished I could do the same.

Did you guys like these 2 dramas (25 21 & Summer Strike)? Let me know.
